A vintage inspired wedding

Last Saturday Tim and Hayley got married in Rutland, Leicestershire and had the most beautiful, vintage inspired wedding I have ever seen. Their attention to detail was fabulous and I was blown away throughout the day. It was simple stunning.

The flowers were by the very talented Miss Pickering and I am sure I will soon be doing a post just about the flowers. A special mention must go to the peonies…one of my very favourite flowers.

And then there was the cakes!

Tim and Hayley were so good to me and allowed me to do several bride and groom shoots throughout the day, even though as they will admit, they don’t like having their photos taken. I am really hoping that they will be happy with the results!

Huge congratulations guys! x

Staffordshire Wedding Photography - Mitch and Psyche Married!

When I received a phone call from Mitch a few months ago about his wedding photography I knew I wanted to work with him. He is a fantastic amateur photographer and judging by the number of DSLR cameras at his wedding, so are many of his friends and family. Working with people who love photography takes my love of what I do to an extra level!

Mitch and Psyche’s wedding was simply beautiful and the reception in Mitch’s parent’s garden was stunning, with the most amazing wedding marquee and wonderful attention to detail.

Huge congratulations Mitch and Psyche! x

Award winning wedding photographer!

Last night I was awarded Licentiate Wedding Photographer 2009 and a highly commended in Avante-Garde Wedding Photography at the West Midlands Master Photographers Association annual awards dinner. I am very happy and excited. I will now go through to the national finals!

UK Wedding Photography - Ben and Claire Married!

When I woke up yesterday to beautiful sunshine I knew I had an amazing day ahead of me shooting Ben and Claire’s wedding at Dodmoor House. It was just perfect in every way. Beautiful English country wedding venue, stunning flowers and details, happy people and the most wonderfully in-love couple. Ben and Claire, you were amazing and I just wanted to get a few sneaky peeks up for you before you go to Spain tomorrow.

Have a wonderful honeymoon and huge congratulations! x

Victoria and Oliver Engagement Shoot

I had so much fun with Victoria and Oliver last weekend that I just can’t wait to shoot their wedding in August! They won’t mind me saying that they were rather nervous when they first arrived but I think they look beautiful in these images.

You guys are going to rock on your wedding day!

Birmingham Wedding Photography - Tracey and Sam Married!

Last month I photographed a wedding that I will always remember, not only because it was my first Chinese wedding but also because I was made to feel so incredibly welcome and part of the day. When I first met Tracey and Sam I knew I wanted to shoot their wedding, so was delighted when they booked me.

Their celebrations began at the Hyatt Hotel in Birmingham where all the girls got ready. The boys had to arrive at 9am to play some fun games (a Chinese tradition) before Sam was allowed a brief moment with his bride-to-be.

The bridemaids had designed the games, which involved eating muffins with chilli and garlic, singing and cleaning teeth with mustard! Sam and his guys were amazing sports and ate, drank and sang everything they were asked to!

Once everyone was ready we left the Hyatt for Berrow Court in Edgbaston for the wedding ceremony.

When Tracey arrived a red umbrella was held over her as she got out of the car. A beautiful Chinese tradition, as red is considered to be lucky. After a wonderful ceremony we enjoyed amazing weather in the gardens before heading on to one of my favourite restaurants in Birmingham, Chung Ying Garden in China Town for the amazing wedding banquet, including a tea ceremony.

And then it was back to Berrow Court for more photos, drinking, speeches, dancing and cake! It was an amazing day’s work. I LOVE my job so much.

Tracey and Sam, huge congratulations and have a wonderful honeymoon in Borneo! x

London Wedding Photography

Last month I photographed a beautiful wedding in Kensington. The location was the Orangery in Holland Park, which is a beautiful, small venue and perfect for a stunning wedding ceremony followed by a drinks reception.

Set in Holland Park there are so many gorgeous spots for photographs. I can highly recommend it as one of my favourite small London wedding venues.

London Engagement Shoot

Back in October I met an amazing couple from Hong Kong at the National Wedding Show at the NEC looking for a photographer to shoot their engagement portraits. They didn’t have just any old engagement shoot in mind though. They had big, fun plans. How excited was I when they got in touch a few weeks later to book me for their London Engagement Shoot?!

Emily and Bernard have been living and working in London for the past 18 months, so wanted to have their pre-wedding images taken in London before their head back home to Hong Kong to get married later in the year. We met up a couple of months ago to plan the day’s shoot, so that we could pack in as many locations as possible in one day.

London is one of my favourite cities in the world and is where my family are from, so I always feel very at home there. Having the opportunity to travel across London with this beautiful couple all dressed up in their wedding outfits was simply amazing.

Thank you so much Emily and Bernard for being so much fun and all the very best for an extremely happy future together! x

Engagement shoot - Tracey and Sam

At the end of April I met up with Tracey and Sam for a beautiful engagement shoot. The weather was just right and the park we went to was full of Spring delights.

These guys was so much fun to photograph. I can’t wait for their wedding in a couple of weeks!
