Choosing a photographer for your wedding is a big decision and we want you to feel comfortable talking to us about what you're looking for without being pressured to make that decision. We offer a free one hour consultation with Emily, which will allow you and her to get to know each other, to discuss the your ideas for the wedding and have any questions you may have answered.

It also gives you the opportunity to see examples of the packages and extra services on offer so you are better informed about what's possible within your budget.

At this point you might consider some photographs for your stag or hen night.

Before the Wedding

Our work begins with a meeting two to three months before the wedding to discuss the day and location(s). Emily will help you to think about the type of photography you would like on the day, as well as planning the timings and structure with photography in mind.

Planning in advance a list of images that you'd like to have taken is key to being satisfied with the end result. We draw up a list of 'must haves' as well as a separate list of 'would be nice'. On the day, plans always change but we make sure that by the end of the day that we have all of those 'must have' images.

Pre-wedding photo shoots

With the Platinum package, Emily will photograph the bride and groom before the wedding happens, and the images are often used for invitation cards for the wedding itself.

On the day

A relaxed, professional style

We do our best to fit seamlessly into the wedding day and aim to capture the best of the day without being intrusive or obtrusive. The results are always a collection of honest, candid images often taken in natural light that help you remember the day as it was, rather than as a staged version created by the photographer.

Two photographers for every wedding

On the day of the wedding you will have the pleasure of two photographers recording your special day - Emily and her assistant.

With the help of the Best Man on the day, we work with the wedding-goers in a lighthearted (but no-nonsense) way to make sure you get the images you really want.

Having two people on the day means that whilst one of us will be making sure that all of the images on your list have been taken, the other is free to take some more candid, reportage-style images to capture the spirit of the event.

It's all in the detail

Emily and her assistant will capture all elements of the wedding, including the small but important details.

When everyone has spent so much time preparing for the day, it's nice to have a record of all of the wonderful details that often get overlooked. We always try to come away with images of the bridesmaids' hair, bouquets of flowers, the table settings and any other things of interest which add an extra level of detail to the story of the day.

The Album

Enjoy seeing your wedding images for the first time on a large screen at Emily's studio. You and your friends and family are invited to watch a slideshow of your wedding images. Emily will then help you to create your beautiful wedding book.

A beautifully-presented wedding album

When you have had time to look through your online gallery of images you will then have the opportunity to visit Emily's studio to discuss the design of your beautiful, high-quality, photo book, which is included with all of our packages.

High quality printing

Emily uses Queensberry, the high quality New Zealand book manufacturer to produce stunning custom wedding albums for her clients.

Order prints online

All of the best images taken at your wedding will be available on your password-protected client area, at the memorable address whenwegothitched.com. Your friends and family can then pay for and order their own prints, books and canvases, which takes the headache out of sending the right prints to Great Aunt Bertha!

Show off your photos

Once you've seen the images from the day, there are bound to be one or two you'd like to have on show around the home, or for relatives to have as gifts.

We offer a wide range of image prints - from small images for your wallet, to high-quality hand-made framed prints for the home, up to large art canvases for wall display.

All of our prints are made with high quality museum-grade printing processes and will last an estimated 250 years if not stored in direct sunlight.

If that doesn't sound like gibberish to you, then the chances are you'll like to know that we even provide web-friendly profile images for all of these websites, virtual albums for you to send to your friends like the one below. Yay!

DVD Slideshows

Relatives overseas? Friends who couldn't make it? How about sending them a compilation of images from the wedding as a DVD slideshow that they can watch on their TV along with a favourite track or two you might have played at the event?

Wedding invitations

How about doing something a little different for your invites? We can arrange a pre-wedding photoshoot several months in advance of the day itself and use the images for "save the day" cards or wedding invitations. Our high quality printing partners will produce a bespoke design based around the images. A great way to add some personality to your invitations.

Thank you cards

A photographic card sent to your guests after the wedding is a fun and memorable way to make sure your guests know you mean it when you say "thank you".

Calendars

If you want a reminder for the first year of your marriage just why you got into it, how about a reminder you can hang up in your living room? It might even help remind that husband or wife of yours when the anniversary is!

Stag and hen nights

How about making your own 'unofficial' set of photos to commemorate the celebrations of your stag and hen nights. As a male/female team, we can offer the unusual service of coming along to both of the events, taking a few images for posterity and then leaving you all to have a great time. Of course, what happens on stag/hen stays on stag/hen, but having some fantastic images to remember (the beginning of) the night is a fun idea. You could even suggest it to one of your guests as an early wedding present!

Additional information

We're flexible with payments

We accept credit cards, cheques, bank transfer and cash. Following an initial 15% deposit for the package, you can pay the balance off as frequently as you like, just as long as your final payment is made two weeks before the wedding at the latest.

Payment for prints, canvases and additional shoots is then on top, once you've decided which images you'd like. We often find that once our clients have seen their wedding book that they'd like an extra copy for other members of the family, which can be arranged at a discount.

We also offer gift vouchers so that you can offer a print or canvas on your wedding list for your guests to buy on your behalf.

Travel is inclusive within one hour of Birmingham

These prices are for weddings in Birmingham and the surrounding area. For weddings outside of Birmingham, travel costs and accommodation are extra.

Insurance - we're covered

Emily carries up-to date public liability insurance to cover for any potential risks through her work as a wedding photographer.

Independently quality-assured

Emily is independently accredited by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and is a member of the Guild of Photographers.
